Ceredigion tenants say Yes to stock transfer

Council tenants in Ceredigion have voted by a substantial majority for their housing stock to be transferred to the new Tai Ceredigion housing association.

Yes: 1,067 (58.3%)
No: 763 (41.7%)

Although the result was closer than many expected, the turnout of 69.93% - the highest in Wales - gives a clear mandate.

The transfer to the new organisation will be completed in a year's time after which more money will be available for the repair and maintenance necessary to bring the housing stock up to the Welsh Housing Quality Standard.
